Masala Egg Curry

Today we have planned to give my son's birth hair to god.As he is nearing to 1year.As we are in UK there is no temple here for going,so we planned to give 3cuts of hair in front of god in my home only.So we got up early morning and we made my 11Th month old baby boy to have head bath and we have given 3cuts in front of god.we have to give full hair only when we go to India.

Coming to the recipe today i have made masala egg,which i have learned from my Amma.Which is my favt one its go good with rice or roti's

PREPARATION:

Eggs-4or5
Chopped Onions-2nos.
Chopped Tomato's-2nos.
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 2
Cardamon - 1
Chili Pwd-1tsp
Coriander Pwd-1tsp
Turmeric a pinch
Curd-2tsp
Garam masala-1/2tsp
Coriander leaves a few
Salt to taste
Oil-2tbsp

METHOD:

1.Heat a pan with oil add clove,cinnamon and cardamon then add chopped onions and fry for few mints till onions turns golden colour.
2.Then chopped tomato's along with all powders and cook till tomato's becomes soft.
Add curd and salt and mix well so that all mixtures are nicely blended with curd.
3.Add required water and bring it to boil for few mints,add the eggs by breaking them at the top and pour like that only with shaking so that all the egg stays in one place.Do the same thing for the remaining one's.And cook till the egg's are cooked and gravy becomes thick.
4.Finally add chopped coriander leaves and serve tasty tasty masala egg curry with rice or roti's

Gobi Masala

Today the day started with my daughter laky waking up at around 4'clock saying mummy today iam going to school get up.Then i and my hubby both got up and saw the time and we said her its only 4clock,you can sleep upto 6clock.we made her ready as today is her first day for school in Uk ofcourse she is going to primary one.we reached the school and we left her in classroom and we moved to parents meeting.But suddenly we have seen laky crying and coming with her madam.Her madam said she is little bit upset and she asked me to come along with laky to her class..and finally she was in class.

As today i was planning to prepare some Fried rice,but i found onions are little,then i searched my fridge and found Cauliflower and i thought what would i make with gobi .Then i searched my recipe book and found gobi masala.Coming to recipe the Gobi masala came really nice and hubby dear liked it very much..

Preparation:

Gobi - 750gms
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Coriander - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Curds/ Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Tomatoes - 2 medium
Onions - 3 medium
Poppy Seeds-1tsp
Cashews nut paste - 2 tbsp
Oil - 3/4 cup
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnish
Method:

1.Wash and clean the cauliflower into florets. Then soak them in salted warm water with closed lid.

2.Heat a non stick thick bottom pan with oil. Add the finely chopped onions, fry well. Then add the ginger garlic paste, sauté till its brown,add the chopped tomatoes along with all the spice powders and salt. Simmer and cook till the oil starts coming on sides. Add the curds and mix well so that it blends well and also comes out as a thick gravy.

3.Once all the curds is done, add the drained cauliflower and add to the pan. Mix well with the spices and cover with lid and let it simmer for 5 - 7 mins, till you the florets are blended with the masala.

4.Add 1 cup water and cook till gravy comes thick and cauliflower is cooked.

5.Then add poppyseeds and cashewnut paste and cook for few mints and finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve with roti's.

Vegetable Biryani

Hi Friends,How are you all .Hope you all are rocking with your delicious food in your awesome blogs.It has been long time for me to see u all,after my second kid was born it became hard for me to see my blog and post.At the same time we shifted from India to UK with 2kids .Its really tough time for me to manage both of them in new place.At the same time i was thinking of my blog..that i have taken long gap from blog.Slowly i managed them and i have done few changes to my blog and started to post.Hope you people will support me as you are doing before.

Coming to the recipe today i have prepared vegetable biryani..and my daughter liked it very much and she asked me to do the same one everyday.

Ingredients needed:

Basmati Rice - 2 cup
Butter - 2 tbsp
Onions, chopped as julinne - 2 medium
Tomatoes - 2 medium
Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Green Chilles - 2 nos
Turmeric Powder - a pinch
Mixed Vegetables, chopped - 1 cup (Carrot, Beans,peas Potatoes)
Bay Leaf - 1
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 2
Cardomon - 1
Coriander Leaves - for garnishing
Water - 3 cups
Curd-2tbsp
Salt to taste
Preparation:


1.Clean and soak Basmati rice for 15 mins in water.

2.Heat the butter in a non-stick pan. Add all the whole spices, onions, Green Chillies. Sauté till the onions become brown in colour.

3.Then add ginger garlic paste. Fry for 1 min, then add the Vegetables, chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves, salt and chilli powder.Fry for 5 mins with lid covered.Then add curd and mix well so that all the vegetables are nicely coated with the spices.

4.Then add drained rice and fry gently so that the rice is coated well in butter and at the same it does not get broken.

5.Add about 3cups of water in which the rice was soaked. Cook in high for 2 mins, once it starts boiling, sim and cook for 10 mins or till the rice is well cooked.

6.Finally Serve with Onion raita.
